Chile, Here I Come!!!
Ahhhhhhhhh I'm so excited!! I finally have a date for when I'm moving back to Santiago, and a flight! I'll be flying out of RDU on August 12 :) That means less than 2 months to wait! Now, the next question is... does anybody know of apartments available?? Or people looking for roommates? If so, please let me know :) Woooooooo estoy tan emocionada!

I would be! I don't know about apartments or anyone looking for a roomie, but I am jealous that you are getting an apartment!! Rodrigo and I are living at his parent's house, which is very stressful!! Hopefully the next time we come back here we will be able to have an apartment. And one that has central heating!! Its so cold here! We should meet up when you come here. I almost feel friendless here. I have a few Chilean friends, but its very hard for me to relate to them.

As far as apartments go, try posting at www.needish.com (in Spanish if you want to get offers from real estate agents, or you could post in both Spanish and English if you want to attract gringo attention as well). Clearly I'm biased since I work there, but Rodolfo and I are actually looking for a new place right now, and I've gotten a bunch of offers via my Need, so it does work! I wouldn't advise looking on Chile's Craigslist because it's all geared toward the gringo vacation market and therefore very overpriced. Are you and Diego going to live together, or is he still with his fam? Whatever route you go, good luck!

I live in Santiago and i know some places where you can find an apartment or where to share a place..

depends on what place you want to live...
"la comuna" ..las condes, santiago centro, and so forth..
also when you arrive you can buy a newspaper and there you can find some places too...so dont worry..
my boyfriend is coming on august too.. but he doesnt have a date yet.. :-(

I do know of someone looking for a couple of roommates actually. She's a friend of mine who moved back here after study abroad. Her name is Sarah Berg and if you look in my facebook friends you can just find her and add her...she has posted pictures of the apartment and location and everything. I'll tell her that I know you :)
